Are parents really responsible for their children's bad habits?

Yesterday, when I was going home from office, I was at Rickshaw Stand waiting for Rickshaw and there were lorry peoples,suddenly I noticed one incident, where a couple with their little boy,might be 6th or 7th year old came to Rickshaw Stand. There was water lorry also, who was selling water pouch. The little boy went to the water lorry, the lorry man was busy in arranging other bags of water pouch, little boy took the water pouch and came to his parents. His Parents were seeing the pouch in the boy's hand and ask from where have you taken, he just pointed his hand to lorry. In spite of going back to lorry man and giving back the pouch or making payment, he just stood there and put the pouch into his bag.

He had not even ask his son, why did he take the pouch? or taught him that, he should not do that.
This is very bad, Parents are hiding their children's mistakes. These small and silly mistakes can create big troubles in life.

You are right, the so called parents are the only one responsible for teaching such things to child and making him believe that whatever he/she does is not bad or wrong.
I personally believe that, it is easy to be father/mother but too difficult to be parent.
(P.S. Pl not use 6th/7th when saying age, just say 6/7 yrs old)
